Zarython builds apps, games, and digital products. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website (zarython.com) and every Zarython app, including Life Manager, Science Atlas, and CodeLock. These practices apply equally to the Android and iOS versions of our apps. We have written it in plain language, because a privacy policy you cannot read protects nobody.

The short version

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers that follow you around the internet. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information — not now, and not later. Whatever you write, save, or unlock in our apps stays on your device unless you deliberately choose to back it up or sync it.

This website

The website is informational. Apart from the contact form and the launch-notification box described below, it has no accounts, no login, no comment system, and no database that stores visitors. Your browser keeps two small preferences locally — your chosen theme (light or dark) and your chosen language — so the site looks the same when you return. Those values never leave your device and are not readable by us.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see overall traffic, such as how many people visited a page. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not build a profile of you across websites. Cloudflare also delivers and protects the site, which means it processes technical connection data such as IP addresses for security and abuse prevention.

Contact form and launch notifications

When you send us a message through the contact form on our Contact page, we process the data you enter: your name, your email address, the subject, and the content of your message, together with the technical data needed to transmit it (for example the time of submission and connection information). The launch-notification box on the home page processes only the email address you provide. We use this information solely to receive your enquiry and reply to it — or, for the launch box, to notify you once when a product launches. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or pre-contractual steps, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries) for all other messages.

We use the service Web3Forms to process the form and deliver your message to our inbox. Zarython is the controller of this data; Web3Forms acts as our processor under a data-processing agreement. Depending on Web3Forms and its sub-processors, your data may be processed outside the European Union, including in India, subject to the applicable legal safeguards. Web3Forms' privacy policy and data-processing agreement are linked below.

We delete messages and the data connected to them once the exchange is over and they are no longer needed — at the latest after six months — unless we are legally required to keep them longer. You have the right to request access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its processing; just contact us.

Our apps: local by design

Our apps are built local-first. The information you enter is written to private storage on your own device, inside the app's sandbox, where other apps cannot read it. There is no Zarython server receiving your content, and we have no database of user data to hand over, lose, or be breached.

Life Manager

Life Manager organises appointments, tasks, notes, documents, contracts, expenses, medications, shopping lists, and family details. All of it is stored on your device. Reminders are scheduled by your phone's own notification system, so we never see what you were reminded about. The Secure Vault stores files in a private app folder and can be locked behind your device's fingerprint, face, or PIN — that check is performed by your phone, and we never receive your biometrics. Backups are created on your device and can be encrypted; if you move a backup somewhere else, that copy is under your control.

Some features ask for permissions. Notifications are needed to remind you at the right moment. Access to photos and files is needed only when you pick a document or image to import, and when you ask the vault to move a photo, your phone shows its own confirmation dialog before anything is deleted. The camera is used only when you choose to scan a document. Declining a permission disables that specific feature and nothing else.

CodeLock

CodeLock stores your progress — completed stages, stars, coins, gems, trophies, and settings — on your device. If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, your progress is also saved to your own Play Games saved games storage — specifically the app-data folder of your Google Drive, which only the game can read and we cannot see — so it survives a new phone or a reinstall. That is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; we do not receive your Google account details, the game remains fully playable without ever signing in, and you can delete the saved game from your account whenever you like. Google Play Games is available on Android only and is not part of the iOS version. CodeLock also generates a short random support id, such as CL-7KQ4M2XB, so that if you email us we can identify your save file. It is a random code tied to an installation, not to you as a person.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use advertising identifiers to profile you. We do not read the contents of your notes, documents, or vault. We do not require an account to use our products. If a future version of an app introduces advertising or in-app purchases, we will say so clearly in the app's store listing and update this policy before those features go live.

Children

Our products are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because our apps store data only on the device and require no account, no personal information reaches us in any case. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help.

Your rights and your control

Since your content lives on your device, you already hold the strongest controls. You can view and edit everything inside the app. You can delete individual items, clear the app's data from your phone's settings, or uninstall the app to remove everything. If you used Play Games cloud saves, you can delete that saved game from your Google account. Under the GDPR and similar laws you also have the right to ask what information we hold, to request a copy, or to request deletion — write to us and we will respond within 30 days. In practice the honest answer is usually that we hold nothing about you.

Data retention

We keep your app data for exactly as long as you keep it on your device. We retain no copies. Emails you send to us are kept only as long as needed to answer your question.

Third parties we rely on

We keep the list deliberately short. Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and processes technical connection data such as IP addresses. Web3Forms delivers the messages you send through our contact form: your name, email address and message pass through their service so the message reaches our inbox, and they are used for nothing else — if you would rather not use the form, write to us directly at support@zarython.com. Google Play distributes our Android apps and, if you opt in, provides Play Games cloud saves, which store your progress in your own Google Drive. Apple's App Store distributes our iOS apps. These companies process data under their own privacy policies, and we never send them the content stored inside your apps.

Changes to this policy

As our apps grow, this policy may change. The current version is always published here with its date at the top. If a change materially affects your privacy, we will highlight it in the app or on this page rather than quietly editing the text.
